Your observation visits are welcomed any time after the first month of school when students have become adjusted to their new environment.
If a teacher feels there is a need for a personal conference with you, she will call you to discuss the matter, or send a note, setting a time for you to meet.
Should you desire a conference, you may leave a message with the teacher-aide who will relay the information to the teacher who will return your call when she is free, i.e., after school or at night when she is home.
An evaluation of each four year old student on developmental tasks will be conducted in January and May. Parent/teacher conferences will then be scheduled to discuss your child's progress.
A professional photographer will take school pictures in October so that you may receive them in time for the holidays.
You will be notified of the date and costs involved.
You will be receiving a monthly newsletter from the 3 or 4 year old class. Please read the Preschool Progress for information regarding units of study, field trips, holidays, chapel dates, birthdays, and special events, etc.
All monies sent for tuition, pictures, field trips, etc. as well as messages should be sent in a sealed envelope with the child's name and contents on the front.
Each teacher determines her policy for Show and Tell and/or what is appropriate to bring to class. No toys or jewelry are allowed except on a designated Show and Tell Day. These may be lost or broken and may upset the child. Books or materials pertaining to the unit of study are encouraged.
A school calendar/directory will be available the first month of school to inform you of the holidays, field trips, special events, and parent/teacher conferences. A separate directory listing of student's names, addresses and telephone numbers will also be distributed.
If the Jefferson Parish public schools close because of dangerous weather conditions, we will close also.
The organization of carpools will be left to the parents. As soon as your carpool is formed, please notify the teachers.
